Director of Procurement, NYSC, Mr Yakubu Jok, announced that at the close of bid, 39 contractors were cleared for the cleaning services while 24 contractors were cleared for security services.
According to Jok, the NYSC had always tried to satisfy the conditions of the Procurement Act by giving contractors the opportunity for reactions during any bid process which was to ensure transparency.
“In the NYSC we want, as much as possible to follow due process as contained in the Procurement Act, since there is no reaction from the contractors, it is clear that the contractors are satisfied with the process and that there was transparency as required by law.”
