Largest aircraft in the world completes test flight

The Flying Bum

The world’s largest aircraft, the Airlander 10, has completed its first test flight. The test flight on Wednesday saw the aircraft take off from the Cardington Airfield in Bedfordshire and remain airborne for 20 minutes.
It has been nicknamed ‘the flying bum’

The Airlander 10 was developed by Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV), and it measures 302-foot-long by 142-foot-wide. It can reach altitudes of up to 16,000 feet and stay in the air for up to five days.

Running on diesel, the helium-filled craft can take off from multiple surfaces and can fly at up to 91 miles per hour.
